The state of Michigan is located in the East North Central
part of the United States in the area of the Great Lakes.
The state was named after Lake Michigan and the name Michigan
means large lake, or great lake. There are many places that
would make a fine place to raise a family in the state of
Michigan, including some areas that still have that small
town appeal with some of the better family values that still
prevail. There are also some larger metropolitan areas of
Michigan that would give your family a variety of places to

them uncomfortable that they should run from them and scream.
